The Beebe Gold Star Family Monument Committee, the City of Beebe, and the Hershel "Woody" Williams Medal of Honor Foundation cordially invite you to the dedication of the Beebe Gold Star Family Monument on February 23, 2018 at 11 AM.

Mr. Hershel "Woody" Williams is planning to attend the dedication ceremony. February 23, 2018 will be the 73rd anniversary for the day in which he was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions at Iwo Jima. His experiences at Iwo Jima and throughout his life led to the establishment of the Hershel "Woody" Williams Medal of Honor Foundation which encourages, with the assistance of the American public and community leaders, establishing permanent Gold Star Families Memorial Monuments in communities throughout the country. Its' purpose is to honor Gold Star Families, relatives, and Gold Star Children who have sacrificed a loved one in the service of their country.

On Thursday, February 22nd there will be a community dinner to welcome Mr. Williams and recognize the completion of this memorial monument. Tickets for that dinner are on sale at

On Friday, February 23rd, the monument will be dedicated at Beebe Veterans Park. If you are traveling on HWY 67/167, take exit 29.
