In the coming weeks, the City will begin installing new culverts at the original entrance to Southfork. Additionally, we have submitted a $1 million grant application to the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission to fund a detention basin within the Southfork Subdivision.
Based on the data we’ve collected—and depending on the outcome of the grant—we will determine the best approach for addressing the culverts at Angel Circle and Coy Lane. We expect to have more updates and clearer answers by the end of the year.
The best-case scenario is to build the detention basin, which would significantly slow the flow of water before it reaches the subdivision and provide the most effective long-term improvement. Please know that we have not forgotten your concerns and are actively working toward drainage improvements.
