Honoring the Anniversary of the United States Through Shelter Dog Adoptions

WHEREAS, the City of Beebe recognizes the enduring spirit of the United States and celebrates our nation's anniversary through acts that strengthen our community; and

WHEREAS, Beebe Animal Shelter is committed to finding safe, loving homes for dogs in its care;

WHEREAS, encouraging responsible pet adoption benefits both the animals and the citizens;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, the Mayor of the City of Beebe, Arkansas, do hereby proclaim the following:

1.     In honor of our nation's anniversary, the adoption fee for all eligible shelter dogs shall be $2.50 for applicants whose adoption applications have been approved.

2.     This special adoption promotion shall remain in effect for thirty (30) days from the date of this Executive Order.

3.     All adoptions remain subject to Beebe Animal Control's standard application review and approval process. The promotional adoption fee does not waive any adoption requirements or eligibility standards.

4.     Citizens are encouraged to visit the shelter, meet the available dogs, and consider providing a deserving companion with a forever home during the following special Saturday adoption events:

o   Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.

o   Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.
